Smart & Safe Moving During Covid-19
Your Safety Continues to Be Our Priority
One year later and we are surprised to be moving under similar conditions, but we are better prepared in 2021! We continue to do our best to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by keeping our movers informed about safety protocols during scheduled moves and they are outfitted with mask. It is our responsibility to take the proper precautions to reduce the spread of the virus. Mic’s Moving offers virtual surveys, so that’s one less risk of exposure. Now let’s talk about how to prepare yourself and our movers on the big day.
How can you prepare and promote a safe move during Covid-19?
- If you aren’t feeling well and exhibiting any possible Covid symptoms, please notify us immediately.
Clean and sanitize while you pack.
Use your own old boxes or new boxes only, not recycled boxes that may be contaminated.
Wear your own mask on moving day.
Provide a sanitizing station: a sink with soap, water and paper towels or hand sanitizer, if a sink is not available.
Provide good air flow/ventilation to the moving area: open windows and doors, if possible.
Try to distance yourself from the people traffic flow when the movers are coming in and out. If you have children, plan an activity that will keep them occupied and away from the moving flow.
Be packed and ready to go: have your boxes organized and accessible in one area.
We wish you well in packing and safety during the pandemic. Did you find this checklist helpful? Please share your moving tips with us in the comments!
